After being a part of the field of social work for 20+ years, I am proud to be NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker,
I am trained in a multitude of modalities, including Multi systemic Therapy (MST), NYS Certified in School Leadership, and completed CPR & AED Certification, TeleMental Health and New York State Crisis Support Training in 2020. I also obtained TeleMental Health Training Certificate (THTC), 2019. My work experience Licensed Social Worker took me to NYC & The Bronx in 2000- I learned by experiencing first hand how crisis impacts people, a school, a city and a nation. In times of National Crisis (9/11 Terrorism, and Grief, Times of Increased Need to Address Self-Harm, Coping, Self Esteem, Times of Increased School Violence etc.) In my 20+ Years of Supporting K-12 (specialty MS-HS), parents, staff & physicians on the job, and real life learning made it easy to connect with others. Experience within homes, courts, schools, agencies, healthcare organizations, and private practice.
The Pandemic experience of creating a program as Adjunct for Graduate University Students, and a private adult care facility during Covid was very powerful. The ability to provide remote support for isolated seniors and an internship for displaced students, was truly amazing. I enjoy supporting young adults, staff, caregivers and seniors. I also specialize in work with Parents, Pre-teens, Teens, Young Adults, Seniors, and Caregivers.
Tying all these experiences together into my private practice has helped me in my ability to connect with professionals in various business, schools, medical facilities, and home settings.
Development of Knowledge
My career has convinced me that there is always more to learn about the concerns we face. This has pushed me to develop more skills, and broaden my learning, scope of practice, and age range I that I serve.
